The eight movies – The Dark Valley, For No Eyes Only, Jack, Run Boy! Run, Not My Day, Vampire Sisters, Who Am I – No System is Safe, and Inbetween Worlds – are selected among the newest and most popular German films which have been successful in cinemas around the world as well as at the Berlin Film Festival and other festivals.
With genres ranging from thriller to drama and comedy, the movies will be screened in the original German language with Vietnamese and English subtitles or voice-over.
The festival will be joined by Tali Barde, the director, actor and scriptwriter of the film “For no eyes only”, who will meet with the audience following the screenings of the movie in Hanoi and HCMC.
In Hanoi, the films will be shown from September 6 to 13 at National Cinema Center, 87 Lang Ha Street, Ba Dinh District. In Hue, they will be screened from September 10 to 14 at Center for Culture & Information, 41A Hung Vuong Street. In Danang, movie lovers can come to Le Do Cinema, 46 Tran Phu Street, Hai Chau District between September 11 and 20 to watch the films. In HCMC, screenings will take place from September 12 to 18 at Cinebox Cinema, 212 Ly Chinh Thang Street, District 3.
A week before the festival starts in each locality, free tickets will be made available at Goethe-Institut Hanoi, 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, Center for Culture & Information in Hue, Le Do Cinema in Danang, and the Goethe-Institut HCMC at 18, Street No.1, Cu xa Do Th anh Ward 4, District 3, HCMC.
