After-tax profit also exceeded expectations as well, up VND14 billion ($700,000) year-on-year to nearly VND100 billion ($5 million), according to the company’s data.
“It was a successful year for us,” said Lee Jae Eun, general director for Everpia Vietnam. Eun indicated that the company was awarding its employees eight-months of salary in bonus for this Lunar New Year.
According to Eun, the bedding goods producer is extending its operation by building up an additional factory in the northern region with upgraded capacity from that of the current one. The new factory was scheduled to start operation early this year.
Everpia Vietnam also planned to launch new brand products this year aimed at low-income customers, after its successful high-class product line was developed in 2010.
“We hope to meet the demand of customers from low-income to high-income,” said Eun.
Everpia Vietnam is a foreign-invested company that is now leading the bedding goods sector in Vietnam.
The company made its debut on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange in late 2010 under with the aim of “raising the company’s position in Vietnam”. It shares EVE closed at VND45,200 today, slightly up compared from the VND45,000 in the first session.
