The night swimming beach will be open from 6.30pm to 10.30pm every night, in front of 32-34 Hotel on Tran Phu Street.
The stretch of beach is 120 metres long and 50 metres wide, with observation platforms, medical equipment, lighting systems and lifeboats.
Many people already go swimming at night time without any lighting or lifeguards, which is a very dangerous practice.
Sapa monitors tourism prices
The prices of tourism services in Sapa district in the northern province of Lao Cai have been published officially under an instruction from the Sapa District People’s Committee.
The aim of the move is to discourage overcharging of tourists at the world-famous hill town.
Prices for hotels, karaoke bars, taxis, motorbikes, restaurants, beverage outlets, and other eateries are listed. The district, which has beautiful mountains, caves, forests and terraced rice fields, is home to many ethnic minority groups.
At this time of year rainwater is released on to the terraced rice fields, which shimmer in the sunshine, attracting many tourists and photographers.
The high number of tourists, particularly during holidays and peak seasons, has led to a shortage of accommodation and some have taken advantage to overcharge tourists.
Noi Bai gets more sleeping pods
More sleeping pods have been installed in Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport for passengers waiting because of delayed or cancelled flights at Terminal 2.
The Vietnam Aviation Tourism Corp. (VATC) added six new double pods to the eleven double and three single pods it installed in Terminal 1 in July.
The pods are equipped with a bed, a wardrobe, a telephone line, a TV, and wi-fi.
A double costs VND150,000 ($7) per hour for the first six hours and VND142,000 ($5) per hour for the next three, and VND1.136 million ($50) for eight to 24 hours.
