The 12th International Exhibition on Electrical Technology & Equipment (Vietnam ETE 2019) and the 9th International Exhibition on Products, Technologies of Energy Saving & Green Power (Enertec Expo 2019) took place from July 17 to 20, displaying various energy-efficient, eco-friendly electrical devices and technology for the power and energy sector.

The two expos aim to propel the energy-efficient sector in Vietnam

Over 400 local and foreign exhibitors have set up more than 550 booths at the expo. Among them, there are many famous local brands such as EVN HCMC, Gelex, Panasonic, and Dien Quang, in addition to foreign exhibitors from Germany, France, and the US.

Vietnam ETE and Enertec Expo also collaborated with the Korea Electrical Manufacturers Association and Chinese and Japanese exhibition companies to set up three national exhibition zones featuring the latest energy-saving and eco-friendly electrical devices. The two expos over the past 11 years have served as destinations enabling participants to promote trade, attract investment, and exchange scientific and technological applications to develop the local electricity and energy industry. Also, visitors at the events had the opportunity to check out many new energy-efficient and hi-tech electrical devices.

According to the organising committee, Vietnam’s economy is thriving, with an improved average income and sharply rising demand for electricity and energy. As detailed in the country’s development plan for 2015-2025, the electrical equipment manufacturing sector needs to advance to meet 70 per cent the domestic demand for transmission lines and electrical substations and 55 per cent power engines and generators.

By 2025, the sector needs to be able to manufacture and supply all equipment for transmission lines and electrical substations, meet at least 60 per cent of the nation’s demand for electrical measurement devices, and produce high-quality power cable lines.

Accordingly, the government is encouraging the growth of the electrical equipment manufacturing sector by issuing preferential policies for those involved in manufacturing energy-efficient devices, exploiting renewable energy, and developing technologies to save power and energy.
