Thailand announces visa regulations for Vietnamese

The Consular Department, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Thailand will maintain the grant of visa exemption for Vietnamese citizens entering Thailand with multiple purposes.

Under an agreement on visa exemption signed between the two governments on May 9, 2000, Vietnamese holders of ordinary passports are allowed to enter and stay in Thailand for 30 days without visa.

At a meeting on August 14 between the Consular Department and Thai Embassy in Ha Noi, the Thai side confirmed that Vietnamese citizens entering Thailand with such purposes as tourism, visit, conference, meeting, investment and business will be exempted visa within 30 days.
