Previously, at the beginning of June 2021, Shinhan Life has contributed VND500 million ($21,740) to the National COVID-19 Vaccine Fund managed by the Ministry of Finance. This is an activity that shows the company's community responsibility, making efforts to contribute to the Vietnamese government in socialising the funding for buying COVID-19 vaccines, joining hands with the community to repel the pandemic.
“This is a difficult time for all of us,” said Lee Euichul, general director of Shinhan Life Vietnam. “Although Shinhan Life Vietnam still has limited resources and we have yet to officially start operation, we look forward to joining hands with the community to fight the epidemic and bring life soon back to a new normal. All Shinhan Life staff are trying our best to complete the preparation work towards providing the best products and services to Vietnamese customers in the coming time.”
Shinhan Life Vietnam has entered Vietnam’s insurance market from February 2021, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City. The company operates in the field of life insurance, health insurance, and financial investment. With initial charter capital of VND2.320 trillion ($100.87 million) wholly contributed by parent company Shinhan Life Insurance Corporation, Shinhan Life Vietnam is expected to commence its business in 2022 after a period of preparation.
