In a rapidly developing country like Vietnam, investing in people, particularly the young generation, with a focus on education and proper guidance rather than just financial aid, is paramount,
For the past three years, this principle has driven Shinhan Life’s community responsibility programmes in Vietnam. The company has prioritised initiatives aimed at training, skill-building, and knowledge-sharing, equipping young people with the tools and confidence to secure a sustainable future.
Among Shinhan Life Vietnam's impactful initiatives is the S-Career initiative, implemented in collaboration with SIF Career, a top education and career guidance organisation.
This career orientation scheme provides high school students with essential knowledge and tools to uncover their potential gradually and empowering them to 'pick the right industry and do the right job', a critical step towards their future success.
The S-Career scheme also benefited educators by offering effective methods and tools, enabling teachers to support students in career orientation. In this, its first year, the initiative reached nearly 1,400 students and over 150 teachers, furthering Shinhan's commitment to sustainable community development through education.
Shinhan Life Vietnam’s long-term partnership with SOS Children's Villages Vietnam has been widely recognised for its impactful activities, ranging from donating educational equipment and funding infrastructure upgrades to providing career orientation skills for children and young adults. One highlight has been the iLead education programme, developed in collaboration with BNJ Vietnam, which is tailored for young people in SOS Children's Villages in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Danang.
Beyond equipping the young people with essential skills and knowledge, the scheme offers opportunities for skill training, internships, and potential employment at Shinhan Life for those who demonstrate the interest and ability.

In addition to the company’s youth-focused initiatives, Shinhan Life places significant emphasis on supporting children, the future of the nation.
A standout effort is the annual distribution of over 50,000 complimentary ‘Shinhan – An Binh’ insurance policies since 2022, providing leukaemia insurance coverage for children.
Furthermore, Shinhan Life has supported treatment costs for underprivileged paediatric leukaemia patients at Ho Chi Minh City Children’s Hospital, contributing $25,000 worth of medical aid over the past three years. These efforts have brought renewed hope and a chance at normalcy for many children's lives.
In recognition of its efforts to support the community in which it operates, Shinhan Life Vietnam was honoured with the prestigious ‘Corporate for the Community’ title at the 2024 Saigon Times Corporate Social Responsibility Awards on November 14
