The accolades from these prestigious magazines prove trust among enterprises, financial institutions, and customers, as these are globally popular magazines in the fields of banking and finance, providing in-depth analysis of financial markets, international trade, and the world economy.

These awards also recognised SCB as one of the pioneering retail banks in Vietnam, bringing in all-round products suitable for the diverse needs of customers, as well focusing on providing services with outstanding quality and modern banking technology.

With great determination to overcome the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the market, SCB has brought a series of measures into play during the social distancing to ensure continuous and expeditious banking operations and services.

With great determination to overcome the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, SCB has brought a series of measures into play in time during the social distancing to ensure thoroughly continuous and expeditious banking operations and services.

Technology-driven services were beefed up like mobile banking, internet banking, automatic bill payment, online credit card debt payment, and online savings, among others. Furthermore, customers can make deposits, trade currencies, and perform international payments via email, saving time and costs, with no worries over secure authentication, confidentiality, and speedy processing.

Wanting to share the burden with affected customers at the time of the outbreak, the bank has offered many preferential policies by applying annual lending rates only from 6.5 per cent to 6.99 per cent for new borrowers, 5 per cent down for lending rates in the first six months of loan term, 50 per cent discount on interbank and interbranch transfer fees on internet banking, as well as 10 per cent reduction for charges on international payments, to name but a few.

Over the years, SCB has been an untiring advocate for many charitable activities, pitching in social security programmes, such as blood donation, support for poor people, priority families, and student assistance funds, in localities within the bank’s network.

In 2021, SCB has contributed some VND53 billion ($2.3 million) to COVID-19 prevention campaigns and charitable events, in which, VND50 billion ($2.17 million) was donated to a fund launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, calling for support for the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines. Besides, the bank gave away 20 COVID testing buses to the Ministry of Health, five vaccination buses served in Haiphong city, as well as food and medical supplies to many localities across the country.

SCB's shareholders also contributed VND20 billion ($869,570) to Ho Chi Minh City's COVID-19 Prevention and Control Fund in response to the movement promulgated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in sharing the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines.

Never leaving behind its employees, SCB has imparted welfare policies on internal vaccination, regular rapid testing, and workplace disinfection, not least paying visits to console and supply food to those infected. The bank lately won the title Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2021, an award given by HR Asia, the most authoritative publication in Asia for human resources professionals, based on clinical surveys and judgments.
