Savills Vietnam will manage the newly built Hang Da Shopping Centre in the heart of Hanoi.

Hang Da Shopping Centre is a rebuilt project in the area of Hang Da Market, with prime location in the heart of Hanoi, near  Hoan Kiem Lake.

The building has five levels including two basements for parking and a three level retail podium.

In addition to its prime location as well as international brands, Hang Da Shopping Centre also focuses on enhancing the quality and diversity of the centre’s services. Therefore, cooperating with Savills Vietnam helps to verify the importance of customers in the use of Hang Da Shopping Centre’s services.

According to Vu Danh Hoa, general director of Hang Da Trade, with the determination to revitalise and offer the best services for Hang Da Shopping Centre, by cooperating with Savills Vietnam, the developer committed a serious investment to make Hang Da become an ideal destination for customers.

“Hang Da Shopping Centre has attracted a lot of attention on the first days of construction with its good location in the centre of Hanoi. I hope that the international quality services Savills provides will meet the requirements of all customers in the Shopping Centre,” said John Gallander, director of savills Hanoi.

Hang Da is the first traditional market changed to a modern market. It has ideal location as it is hard to find other new shopping centres in central Hanoi, due to the restriction of high-rise buildings, caused by the announcement 384/TB-VPCP since December 2009 to stop the construction of all up-to-nine storey buildings in the city centre.

Located in Hang Da street on the ancient quarter of Hanoi, the market offers less than 7,000 square metres of modern retail in the first three storeys. Two first storeys will be reserved for traditional market with around 500 individual sales.

According to the Hanoi People’s Committee, Hanoi now is home for 132 markets. Under the city’s plan, 39 biggest traditional and degraded markets will be changed to modern markets, in an aim to provide the traders better environment with fire prevention, environment sanitary and foodstuff security.

However, with the re-construction, those markets will be expanded much more space to reserved for other functions such as modern retails and office for lease.

So far, Cua Nam and Hang Da markets are finished and Mo market is still under construction.

Some other markets are eyeing by investors are Thanh Cong, Chau Long, Ngoc Ha, and Truong Dinh.
