Hennessy in collaboration with the Vietnam Performing Arts Centre and the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced its 17th edition of the Hennessy Concert Series, which will take place at the Hanoi Opera House on June 12 2013, featuring pianist Ott.
The concert will be broadcasted via a giant video screen located in the plaza of the Hanoi Opera House.

Ott early on demonstrated a great enthusiasm for classical music. At the age of four she was allowed to appear “out of competition” at a contest held in the Munich Residenz. At the age of eleven she had already appeared as a duo partner of Marcello Viotti with the Munich Radio Orchestra in a television production on Ravel’s Ma mère l’oye, which has since been broadcast several times on German television.
Her 2008 debut recital at the Ruhr Piano Festival sparked off great enthusiasm. Ott made her orchestral debut the age of 13 at the International Piano Festival “Junge Meister” in Lindau.
In the 2012 and 13 season Ott has been reinvited to perform with the Münchner Symphoniker in Munich’s Philharmonie in Gasteig. She will be the soloist in Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy at the Weimar New Year’s Concert with the Staatskapelle Weimar and Stefan Soyom.
Ott has won numerous first prizes in national and international competitions, such as at the Grotrian Steinweg Competition, the Bundeswettbewerb “Jugend Musiziert” and at the Fourth EPTA International Piano Competition in Osijek, Croatia.
A leading patron in arts and culture, Hennessy is the sponsor of several premier musical events around the world, including music festivals in China, opera in Japan, jazz in the United States, and the celebrated “Blues Passions Festival” in France.
Created by the late Wes Benson, the Hennessy Concert Series debuted in 1996 with two recitals by the legendary cellist, Mstislav Rostropovich.
Hennessy Concert Series was the first of its kind to bring world-class live performances of classical music to Vietnam.
Each year, the series has produced sophisticated and diverse programmes showcasing the most sought-after artists of our time. The growing international prestige, coupled with the alluring beauty of Vietnam, has established the series as one of the major concert venues in Asia.
