Vo D.N, general manager of a digital marketing company in Ho Chi Minh City, is one among hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese passengers flying between Singapore and Vietnam several times a year to do businesses. Along with him, many of his staff also fly to this economic hub frequently to visit their children studying there or to treat their diseases.
According to the statistics of Singapore’s Tourism General Department, in the first three quarters of 2013, Singapore attracted more than 295,000 Vietnam tourists - an increase of 3 per cent over the previous year.
Today, with a harmonious combination of colourful culture, arts, cuisine and unique architecture, Singapore is well-known as a dynamic and brilliant city where east-meet-west.
Singapore is one of the biggest aviation markets in Asia with many airlines operating daily flights between Singapore and Vietnam, such as Vietnam Airlines, Singapore Airlines, AirAsia, SilkAir and Lion Air. And now VietJetAir has announced its new daily flight between Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City which will begin on May 23. The Ho Chi Minh City – Singapore route will operate seven flights per week with the modern Airbus A320.
A good choice
“We choose VietJet because it offers good quality services and a reasonable price. The new route to Singapore will help me create many more opportunities to expand our business and cooperation wider and more effectively. I booked a seat on the first flight already. If you have a good plan and book flight early, you can save a lot,” said Vo D.N.
With the diversity of routes and flight times, VietJet is the first choice of many passengers. “VietJet is launching this route in order to meet the demand of leisure and business travellers as well as students. With the new route, it continues proving its expansion commitment and development on a larger scale in the Asia Pacific region and worldwide as well,” said Desmond Lin, VietJet’s development director.
On the occasion of launching the new route to Singapore, VietJet is running a mega promotion from only from $2 (VND40,000) for return flights between Ho Chi Minh City – Singapore as well as Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok and Hanoi – Bangkok.
Furthermore, last month VietJet received one more new Sharklet from Airbus. The new aircraft is leather furnished. Passengers on VietJet flights can also enjoy delicious meals and refreshing drinks prepared by five-star standard chefs in addition to 30 other instant foods, snacks and drinks.
Currently, VietJet operates 23 domestic and international routes. The airline has ambitions to fly to more domestic destinations and expand its operations to economic centres in the Asia-Pacific region.
