Around 100,000 Russian tourists will land in Cam Ranh Airport, Khanh Hoa Province, between October 25th, 2012 and the end of April 2013, according to Ms. Hoang Thi Phong Thu, CEO of Anh Duong Import-Export, Service, Trade, Production Co. Ltd., which specializes in bringing Russian and Turkish tourists to Vietnam.

According to tickets booked for the above period, the non-stop flights from the Russian Far East and Siberia to Cam Ranh airport will be tripled to 21 flights per week.

Since the non-stop fight between the Russian Far East and Cam Ranh was launched in late 2010, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Mui Ne (Binh Thuan) and Phan Rang (Ninh Thuan) have seen a sharp increase in Russian visitors. Notably, in 2011, arrivals of Russian visitors, with high travel expenditure, to these places took the lead and made up around 40 per cent of foreign tourists in the Southern Central coastal area.
