Lazada Vietnam celebrates its inaugural “Business e-Commerce Seller Tribute Day” |
Vietnam is among the top 3 fastest-growing e-commerce markets in Southeast Asia. The fast-growing rate of e-commerce has created strong motivation in fostering small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and traditional businesses owners to transform and expand their business into online platforms.
Taking the Lazada e-commerce platform as an example, the number of sellers has grown by three times during the past two years. Especially, during the fourth wave of COVID-19 outbreak in Vietnam, Lazada has recorded a total number of orders increasing by four times compared to the same period last year.
Thus, the Business eCommerce Seller Tribute Day – October 10 aims to acknowledge the role that an e-commerce seller plays in this new digital era, and recognises the value that online businesses have created for society. The initiative helps businesses to ride on the digital consumer trend, increase competitive advantages, and achieve a breakthrough in sales revenue, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts in all socio-economic aspects.

Within the framework of the event, Lazada has held an online talk show with the topic “Proud of Being Business eCommerce Seller” and an online workshop “Start up as a Business eCommerce Seller: Why not?” on Lazada University to bring wide ranges of perspectives on career prospects, as well as to provide insights on how to achieve high performance on e-commerce platforms.
In addition, Lazada has also activated an exclusive supporting package and promotion programme which has the value of VND11 million($483.19) for helping new sellers to adapt quickly and grow sales significantly on Lazada. The programme is applied until the end of December 31 with many fascinating incentives.
