The week will screen films from ten countries, namely Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Chile, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela, organisers said at a press briefing on October 6.
Venezuala’s Ambassador to Vietnam Jorge Rondon Uzcategui said film lovers in Vietnam will have a chance to enjoy prominent films in different genres such as documentary, comedy, mainstream and cartoon, among others.
The event also presents an opportunity for locals to enjoy and understand more about the culture of each nation in Latin America.
A representative from the Embassy of Argentina in Vietnam said Vietnamese viewers will see cultural similarities and differences between Latin American nations and Vietnam.
Venezuela’s film “Love and Baseball” by Luis Carlos Hueck is set to open the week, which will continue with Cuba’s “Moral Lesson”, Haiti’s “Beautiful Life”, Panama’s “The Check”, Brazil’s “If I Were You”, Argentina’s “Taxi Bomb”, Mexican “Gold Dream”, Uruguay’s “Big Guy”, Peru’s “Rodencia and a tooth of the princess”, and Chile’s “Violeta To The Heaven”.
