Kien Giang welcomes nearly 4 million tourists
The Mekong delta province of Kien Giang has welcomed over 3.8 million tourists in 2012, up 3.25 pct against 2011 and meeting 106.5 pct of its target.
Total revenues of hotels and travel agencies reached over VND 381 billion.
Kien Giang is famous for beautiful and pristine islands and beaches including Hon Chong, Hon Trem, Hon Phu Tu, Hang temple, Moso mountain, Mui Nai, Tach Dong, Mac Cuu imperial tomb, Dong Ho – Ha Tien and Bai Duong.
Under the plan for tourism development in the 2010-2015 period, Kien Giang will take advantage of the forest environment for eco-tourism development.
