Jetstar Asia unveiled a new Da Nang-Singapore direct service that will begin on November 27 and began to sell tickets yesterday.
Jetstar Asia, a member of Jetstar Group, opens a new international link from Viet Nam to Singapore with direct flights from Da Nang on sale from yesterday. It's also the first low cost carrier that operates direct flights between Da Nang and Singapore, and a new service to connect Jetstar Pacific's growing domestic network with Singapore.VNS Photo

It will operate three flights a week using 180-seat Airbus A320, and said this would meet the increasing demand for low-cost travel between the two countries.

Da Nang, a popular tourist destination famous for its beaches and historical sites, will be Jetstar Asia's second gateway into the country from Singapore after HCM City.

Jetstar Asia CEO Bara Pasupathi said the launch of the new route is great news for travellers as a result of strategic planning to support the growth of Jetstar Asia in developing low cost carrier markets.

"Viet Nam is one of the fastest growing economies in Southeast Asia and we have seen the country open up the domestic aviation market and stimulate demand for new low fare travel opportunities.

"The introduction of the new international service to Da Nang will give international travellers from Singapore access to a destination currently only provided by a full service carrier."
