Indulge in the splendour of literature and puppetry this mid-autumn at the Hanoi Hotel Mooncake Collection 2024 Muse, featuring the ethereal beauty of Chang'E, the Moon Goddess, and her lunar rabbits, portrayed in a classical performance combining Baroque and Renaissance styles.
The hotel's pastry artisans, under the expert guidance of Chinese executive mooncake chef Li Jian Chuan, have diligently worked to preserve the distinctive cultural essence of each mooncake, ensuring the best taste is redefined each year.
The refined artistry of Hong Kong’s culinary traditions is exemplified in the white lotus flavour, while the red bean paste symbolises luck and unity in East Asian culture. Crafted from premium red beans, it brings a sweet aroma that accentuates the cultural significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Promoting health and longevity, the black sesame and walnut paste offers the nutritional benefits of omega-3, fibre, vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals like calcium, zinc, iron, and magnesium.
Debuting this year is the mixed nuts flavour, promising a unique twist to the collection. Perfectly combining cashews, almonds, melon seeds, olive seeds, and walnuts, this flavour delivers a nostalgic yet novel taste, leaving a lasting impression for every customer.
The quintessence of Hong Kong cuisine is defined in the golden crust made from a secret recipe, perfectly baked to result in a thin and shiny golden crust. Each mooncake, when sliced, reveals the specially selected salted egg yolks, resembling the shape of the full moon. The balanced savoury and sweet flavours create an irresistible and enchanting taste experience. Hanoi Hotel's mooncakes are available in three sizes, catered to customers’ need.
Each of our mooncakes is handcrafted with precision in the hotel's pastry kitchen using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The products undergo stringent quality control by the TSL testing centre and are certified for food safety by Hanoi's Department of Industry and Trade.
Chef Li Jian Chuan suggested, “Enjoying mooncakes with oolong or jasmine tea is a perfect choice. The subtle astringency of oolong tea harmonises with the mooncake's sweetness and the salted egg yolk's savouriness, creating a memorable aftertaste. Jasmine tea, with its delicate aroma and mild bitterness, enhances both digestion and fat breakdown, offering good health benefits when savoured with mooncakes.”
This year’s collection features seven elegant box designs, offering a variety of refined options for gifting. Each box is exquisitely crafted using 3D printing technology and adorned with opulent gold patterns on lacquered wood.
Richard Yit, Hanoi Hotel’s general manager, remarked, “Customers’ trust, along with brand integrity, has always been our top priority. Hanoi Hotel aims to provide customers with the most memorable experiences during the Mid-Autumn Festival."
