Covering 1,700 square metres, the new operation centre opened its doors on August 1. The centre will operate 24/7 and is expected to create over 900 jobs in Hau Giang and the Mekong Delta region, where agriculture still plays a dominant role. The move aligns with Hau Giang's policy to shift the economic structure of the province, with a focus on the development of the digital economy.
Commenting on the decision to invest in Hau Giang, Frank Schellenberg, founder and chairman of DIGI-TEXX, said, "With its increasingly improved digital and transport infrastructure, provinces in the Mekong Delta, such as Hau Giang, are becoming attractive destinations for technology companies. Additionally, the provincial leadership has implemented breakthrough policies that create a favourable investment environment for businesses in the digital sector."
"Technology companies like DIGI-TEXX do not necessarily need to be concentrated in large cities. We just need a stable internet connection and a reliable power supply," he added.
DIGI-TEXX Vietnam is the first foreign-invested company specialising in business process outsourcing (BPO) to invest in Hau Giang.
The Hau Giang branch of DIGI-TEXX is equipped with the latest systems from Germany and Switzerland, including solar power, water filtration, and KNX smart office systems. The technology is expected to help DIGI-TEXX reduce carbon emissions, enhance operational efficiency, and create a friendly working environment for employees. This is particularly significant as the Mekong Delta is one of the regions being hit the hardest by climate change and frequent droughts.
DIGI-TEXX is a German company operating in BPO and digital services since 2003. The company offers high-quality digital services in Vietnam and employs over 1,200 skilled professionals.
