German piano prodigy to perform in Hanoi

Classical music lovers in Vietnam will have a chance to enjoy masterpieces to be performed by German prodigy pianist Mona Asuka Ott in Hanoi Opera House on June 12.

The performance, the 17 th Hennessy Concert in Vietnam, will be broadcast live in which Mona Asuka Ott will play the Sonata No.12, op.26, in flat major in the group of 32 sonatas for piano by Beethoven, the Nocturne in C sharp minor, Op. 27, No.1 and the Nocturne in D major, Op. 27 No. 2 by Chopin. She will also pick other works by Franz Schubert and Franz Liszt. 

Mona Asuka Ott showed her talent very early. At the age of four, she was invited as a guest performer at a music contest organised in Munich , Germany .

Seven years later, she appeared on a TV music show and played a part in an orchestra for an international piano festival when she was 13, marking her first impressive debut. Since then, she has always been invited to participate in many well-known orchestras. 

The 17 th Hennessy Concert is part of a series of Hennessy Concerts in Vietnam which aims to promote the love for classical music among Vietnamese people with masterpieces performed by talented pianists.
