French guitarist to perform for Hanoi audiences

Jérémy Jouve, one of the leading guitarists in France, will give a classical guitar recital at the L'Espace French Cultural Centre in Hanoi on November 21.

Well-known French guitarist Jérémy Jouve

During the concert, he will present Vietnamese music lovers with special pieces featuring the ancient beauty of Spain as well as the peaceful and poetic steppes of Mongolia.

Jérémy Jouve has been honoured as one of the most outstanding talents in the new generation of guitarists in France by Cahiers de la Guitare magazine.

He graduated from the academy of music when he was 13 years old, toured around Europe at the age of 16 and has won the first prize at many international guitar competitions, particularly a prestigious international contest held by Guitar Foundation of America (GFA).

Jérémy Jouve has also performed at numerous big guitar festivals and recorded for the Naxos label, as well as given solo tours around North America.

He has always been active in a diverse range of musical projects. In addition to jazz, he is interested in Indian classical music and contemporary music.

Tickets for the solo show will be available at the L’Espace for VND160,000 and VND80,000 for members of L’Espace and students.
