France-Vietnam Days of Innovation is holding its second edition in Ho Chi Minh City |
Last year, the first edition of France-Vietnam Days of Innovation successfully attracted the attention of Vietnamese visitors and promoted French innovation in important fields such as healthcare, scientific research, and digital technology. France is one of the most dynamic countries in Europe, where research, innovation, and entrepreneurship are highly appreciated.
Consul General Vincent Floreani said at last week’s press conference that France and Vietnam have co-operated in several innovative projects. Through the France-Vietnam Days of Innovation, France expects to strengthen bilateral co-operation with Vietnam. France-Vietnam Days of Innovation opens with Health Day at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
The event will feature three top-notch experts including Philippe Ménasché, a “pioneer in cell surgery”, Pierre Jais, founder of In-Heart providing detailed and spatially resolved electrical 3D mapping of the heart, and Guillaume Charpentier, co-founder of Diabeloop, a medtech company producing technological innovations for people with Type 1 diabetes.
At the Sustainable Development Day on November 28, Vietnamese and French scientists will shed a spotlight on pressing issues such as sustainable development and the response to climate change, one of the world’s biggest threats. Vietnam is among the most vulnerable nations to climate change impacts. Other topics for discussion are waste treatment, air pollution, and eco-agriculture.
Technology Day is slated to open at Saigon Innovation Hub on November 29 aims to promote French retail tech firms including Activeviam, Carlipa, KSD, Mirakl, WYND, Annam, Decathlon, and L'Oréal. The companies will share about “When French retail tech firms enter Vietnam, one of the fastest-growing retail and e-commerce markets”.
In addition, the Digital Image Day will introduce the latest innovation of digital technology and the application of digital technologies in animation filmmaking. The programme will be held on November 30 at Lotus University in District 1, featuring experts from France.
Within the framework of the event, an interactive contemporary dance titled “Dance of the Warriors of the City” will be performed at the Ho Chi Minh City Arts.
