Four accidents on Saigon Bridge this morning, 12 cars deformed

Within about 30 minutes on the morning of April 17, four accidents occurred on the Saigon Bridge, HCM City. The accidents made 12 cars deformed and caused traffic jams.

The first accident occurred at 7:30 am. A car that was running from Binh Thanh District to District 2 suddenly thrust into two cars in front. Consequently, all three cars were severely damaged in the head and stern.

After some minutes, a crash between two buses happened just 100m from the site of the first accident.

Shortly after that, an accident occurred among five cars, also about 100m from the scene of the second crash.

In this accident, a truck braked hard and the four cars behind crashed into each other. All five cars were badly damaged.

At that time, traffic congestion was very severe on the bridge. Many traffic police officers were sent to the bridge to control the traffic.

However, at about 8 am, another crash was reported between two cars in the opposite direction, making traffic on the Saigon Bridge completely paralyzed in both directions.

After more than one hour, all cars in the four accidents were removed and traffic on the bridge was resumed.
