AkzoNobel, a global paint company and maker of Dulux Paints, celebrates 20 years of colour creation, which started with the introduction of the first Colour of the Year in 2004.
Every year, the Global Aesthetic Center of AkzoNobel invites international design experts from various disciplines to predict what colours will play a key role in the next year. In 2023, Dulux marks an important milestone – the 20th anniversary of the Dulux Colour of the Year campaign.
To celebrate this journey, AkzoNobel collaborated with Elle Decoration to carry out the “Elle Decoration Pop-Up Concept” - a space for art, design, culture, and lifestyle. This initiative showcases the transformative power of colour and how it provides amazing experiences.
Thuy Duong, managing editor of Elle Decoration Vietnam said, “In this meaningful series of commemorative activities, Elle Decoration appreciates being associated with AkzoNobel – one of the leading brands in colour trend forecasting. Colour has the power to change the perception of space, and it is an essential element of design."
"It can make a room feel more spacious, cozy, or lively, depending on the hues and tones chosen. We are thrilled to partner with Dulux and AkzoNobel to showcase the transformative power of colour and how it can provide wonderful experiences in living and working spaces.”
Nguyen Phi Anh Dao, head of Marketing of the Decorative Paints of AkzoNobel Vietnam said, “Trend research is an essential part of determining the Colour of the Year and helping AkzoNobel understand the needs of its customers and create the right paint. Each of the Colours of the Year over the past two decades tells the story of a moment. Dulux wants to partner with Elle Decoration to showcase how colour inspires and elevates living and working spaces”.
Dulux's Colour of the Year campaign has been a significant driver of inspiration for the real estate, hospitality and architecture industry, and it has helped to create a positive impact on the environment.
The company's partnership with Elle Decoration and its participation in the Meet The Experts conference are clear examples of its commitment to inspiring green living spaces and promoting sustainable development.
As AkzoNobel continues to invest in global colour research and development, it will undoubtedly continue to inspire the creation of living spaces for consumers for many years to come.
