Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Management Authority (HEPZA) coordinated with the District 7 Medical Center to carry out random testing for workers of Organ Needle (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. in Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone (EPZ).

Accordingly, samples were collected from 200 workers of Organ Needle (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. for COVID-19 testing.

A medical staff said that after declaring personal information, including name and phone number, workers are taken samples from (neonatal pharyngeal sample). If the test sample is positive, the centre will contact the patient directly via the declared phone number.

Nguyen Thi My Hoa, head of the Civil Administration Department of Organ Needle, shared that the company strictly adheres to the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control regulations issued by the Ministry of Health.

"Employees must have their temperature checked before entering the company and take medical records. Especially, temperature checks are taken twice a day and workers who leave work for longer than three days must make a medical declaration before entering the company," she said.

After the Reunification Day holiday, the HEPZA coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (HCDC) and the Health Centre of districts and provinces to plan to take samples for COVID-19 testing at businesses in the industrial and export processing zones.

As planned, Furukawa Automotive Parts Vietnam Inc. will be the next company for sample collection. . Until now, the HEPZA has collected 16,800 samples.
