Bamboo Airways’ QH73 flight is operated on the wide-body Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with the utmost fuel efficiency and many superb services and amenities, such as a modern business-class cabin suitable for transcontinental flights.
The airline will conduct two flights between Hanoi and Frankfurt per week, with a bulk-up frequency depending on the market demands, thus providing passengers with international 5-star oriented services and opportunities to experience Vietnam’s rich and vibrant culture.
At the event, Huong Tran Kieu Dung, executive vice chairwoman of FLC Group and vice chairwoman of Bamboo Airways said, “We expect that this route will create favourable conditions for travellers between both countries, contributing to strategic relations in diplomacy, investment, and culture."
Guido Hildner, Ambassador of Germany to Vietnam, praised Bamboo Airways' nonstop route to be of great significance in bridging Asia and Europe, thereby promoting further development between both countries.
Frankfurt Airport's representative is pleased to welcome Bamboo Airways’ regular nonstop flights: “We are excited to welcome Bamboo Airways at Frankfurt Airport and are honoured to be the first destination and gateway in Europe for scheduled flights between Hanoi and Germany. Bamboo Airways offers an excellent additional premium travel option for business and leisure travellers from Germany's most important aviation hub to Vietnam and Southeast Asia."
As one of Europe’s largest airports, Frankfurt Airport covers more than 300 destinations, making it the airport with the most direct routes in the world.
Following the route connecting Hanoi and Frankfurt, Bamboo Airways sets to expand its network to many economic centres of Germany such as Berlin and Munich.
Regular nonstop routes to Germany will be an important premise for Bamboo Airways to develop further flights to European countries in the future and connect Europe with Asia and Southeast Asia.
The operation of the Vietnam-Germany route is part of Bamboo Airways’ international expansion roadmap since its establishment.
As for routes to Northeast Asia, Bamboo is currently operating Hanoi-Narita, Hanoi-Taipei, and Hanoi-Incheon. Bamboo is also planning to launch routes between Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore this March, as well as to many other Southeast Asian countries in the summer.
As for European routes, Bamboo Airways is gearing up for routes between Hanoi and London, Ho Chi Minh City and Frankfurt, and Hanoi/HCMC and Munich in the coming time.
As global aviation is assessed to strongly rebound this year, Bamboo Airways is targeting an expansive network of nearly 40 international routes.
