TTC AgriS and its subsidiary Global Mind Australia (GMA), in collaboration with Tay Ninh People’s Committee, held a high-tech agricultural conference in Queensland, Australia on August 12.

Themed “Promoting sustainable and high-tech agriculture”, the conference saw the participation of the Queensland Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ), along with 80 representatives from business, industry associations, research institutes, universities, financial institutions, leading experts, and local leaders from Vietnam (Tay Ninh) and Australia (Queensland). This important event marked the next step in promoting multilateral cooperation in high-tech agriculture between the two countries, of which AgriS plays a bridge.

“We are especially grateful for the strategic partnerships with the authorities of Tay Ninh province and Queensland state, along with the strong support from DPI and TIQ. These partnerships lay a solid foundation for AgriS to continue its mission to promote high-tech agriculture, research and development (R&D), and technology transfer, while acting as a vital bridge in agricultural trade relations between the two countries,” said Dang Huynh Uc My, chairwoman of AgriS.

Queensland has long established itself as one of the world’s leading agricultural science hubs, with diverse climates, fertile soil, and robust R&D capacity.

Meanwhile, Tay Ninh is a key agricultural and industrial production centre in southern Vietnam thanks to abundant resources and great potential for sustainable agricultural development. The province is shaping itself into one of the region’s high-tech agriculture hubs. Both Tay Ninh and AgriS have a shared vision with Queensland for an innovative, smart, and sustainable agriculture market.

At the conference, Nguyen Minh Lam, provincial Party Standing Committee member and vice chairman of Tay Ninh People's Committee, emphasised, “Tay Ninh wishes to learn from Australia’s advanced agriculture, especially in efficient water resource management, modern farming technology, and sustainable development strategies. Our goal is to build a green–smart–circular agricultural model in the near future, creating high added value to agricultural products and improving livelihoods for the local people.”

AgriS bridges Australia’s high-tech agriculture with Southeast Asia

Tay Ninh-headquartered AgriS, Vietnam’s leading high-tech agriculture corporation, aims to become the region’s top provider of high-tech agricultural solutions, deeply integrated into the global food and beverage value chain through its Circular Trade Value Chain model.

This model integrates three technological pillars, including agricultural technology (agtech), food technology (foodtech), and fintech under environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. AgriS boasts a circular agriculture ecosystem with nearly 91,000 hectares of sugarcane raw material areas and 30,000 ha of coconut raw material areas across Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Australia.

Since its strategic investment in Queensland in 2022, AgriS has established extensive partnerships with DPI, TIQ, and Queensland’s high-tech agriculture ecosystem.

Specifically, the company is developing the Agritech Hub platform to drive technology transfer and commercialisation between Australia and Southeast Asia, based on the “One Platform – Multi Country” model. It is currently deployed at three demonstration farms in Australia, Vietnam, and Cambodia, totalling 3,200 ha, of which 2,500 ha are in Australia alone.

In addition, AgriS invested AUD1.5 million ($983,000) in East Forged, a Brisbane-based food and beverage company, to research and develop natural cold brew tea. This is an important step in diversifying products and enhancing chain value.

AgriS and GMA have launched collaborative initiatives with Queensland agtech partners. Specifically, the partnership with Farmacist, a leading agronomic solutions provider in the sugarcane industry – includes knowledge and technology transfer, commercialisation of agricultural solutions, and joint development of a digital farmer service management platform (GSM).

The collaboration with Mort&Co, one of the largest feedlot operators and fertiliser producers from feedlot by-products, features the development of a circular agriculture model with a focus on improving soil health and sustainable development.

At the conference, under the witness of Tay Ninh and Queensland authorities, Agris and GMA entered into a partnership with AgroVision AG to transfer and commercialise drone farming technology. The two sides will also develop liquid fertilisers from molasses or vinasse (ethanol by-products). Another cooperation initiative is with Main Engineering to research, develop, transfer, and manufacture high-tech agricultural equipment in Tay Ninh.

These partnerships are expected to advance high-tech and sustainable agriculture and facilitate the transfer of advanced technologies between Australia and Vietnam. The initiatives will pave the way for Australia to enter the Southeast Asian market, where AgriS serves as a strategic bridge. Additionally, GMA will help strengthen ties with Vietnamese scientists working in Australia, fostering the effective application of scientific and technological achievements towards sustainable agricultural development in Vietnam.

Chairwoman My added, “AgriS not only affirms its leadership in high-tech agriculture but also commits to acting as a strategic bridge in promoting agricultural cooperation between Vietnam and Australia. Since our strategic investment in Australia in 2022, we have closely collaborated with DPI, TIQ, and Queensland’s agtech ecosystem. Through the Agritech Hub platform, we are boosting R&D, technology transfer, and commercialisation, a testament to the effectiveness of the "Five Stakeholders" cooperation, based on three pillars of agtech, foodtech, fintech, and ESG, towards a circular, multi-value agricultural ecosystem and ensuring fair and shared benefits.”

Tay Ninh, a long-standing partner in AgriS’s journey, is transforming itself to be one of the region’s high-tech agricultural hubs. With a favourable environment and investment policies, Tay Ninh authorities at all levels will consistently support enterprises in investment, production, and business activities.

AgriS’ efforts extend beyond production activities to a strategic, effective bridge to connect agriculture between Vietnam and Australia and between Tay Ninh and domestic and foreign investors.

With the support and cooperation from the authorities, AgriS and its "Five Stakeholders” will build a green, smart, sustainable agriculture sector, contributing to ensuring food security and promoting sustainable economic growth for both countries.
