ACHL enters new strategic partnership

MC Economic Estate Development Vietnam Corporation, a subsidiary of Japanese conglomerate Marubeni Corporation, announced a new strategic partnership on June 12, with Amata City Halong JSC, a member of Amata VN Public Co., Ltd.

Prior to this deal, MC Economic Estate Development Vietnam Corporation (MRBN) successfully acquired a 20 per cent ownership stake in Amata City Halong (ACHL) on May 31.

Established in 2018, ACHL focuses on developing industrial park (IP) projects along with utilities and infrastructure in Quang Yen in Quang Ninh province, a located over 150km east of Hanoi, and has attracted 18 foreign-invested projects, valued at more than $2.6 billion.

With extensive experience across several industries, including IPs, Marubeni is expected to bring significant expertise to the partnership.

Marubeni's involvement in ACHL is anticipated to advance the park's development towards sustainable practices, elevate ACHL's global profile through extensive market reach and pull in a wider pool of investors, with a particular focus on Japanese firms.

This strategic alliance aims to position ACHL for continued growth and solidifies its position as a premier IP destination in Vietnam.

Founded in 2012, Amata VN Public Co., Ltd. (AVN) is a holding company with investment solely in Vietnam in core businesses of industrial estates, commercial, and residential development and operations.
