According to a Ministry of Finance announcement, the A92 gasoline price will increase 17.6 per cent from VND16,000 to VND19,300 ($0.93) per litre. Diesel oil increase VND3,550 to VND18,300 ($0.88) per litre.

The increase came a day after the government decided to reduce fuel import taxes to zero from 2 per cent.

Previously, fuel traders complained they were suffering VND3,000 in loss per litre due to global oil price hikes and the impact of the 9.3 per cent dong devaluation two weeks ago.
