On July 15, 2013, the University of Hawaii conferred the degree of master on business administration (MBA) on 34 students of the fifth executive MBA class at Ho Chi Minh City-based InterContinental Hotel.
Earlier on July 13 in Hanoi, the University of Hawaii conferred the MBA degree on 28 graduates at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel.
The University of Hawaii’s executive MBA programme is proud to be the only in Vietnam that is fully accredited by AACSB International, the most prestigious and demanding accrediting institution for elite business schools worldwide. Also, the University of Hawaii’s Shidler College of Business is ranked in the Top 25 Business Schools on International Business by US News and World Report. The school has extensive research and strong focus on Asia Pacific region in which Vietnam is well-studied.
In order to be accepted to this executive MBA programme, candidates are required to possess a bachelor degree, at least five years of work experience, and a high level of English proficiency. The tuition fee for this Fall of 2013 intake (the seventh intake in Ho Chi Minh City and the eighth intake in Hanoi) is $21,000. For this Fall intake, a total scholarship of $100,000 will be partially awarded to outstanding candidates who have financial difficulties. Students pursuing this executive MBA programme will also have the opportunity to take two elective courses in Hawaii in summer time.
