TikTok partners with ASEAN Online Sale Day 2024

TikTok has pledged to support Vietnamese businesses in enhancing their participation in e-commerce and improving business efficiency on cross-border e-commerce platforms in its first collaboration with ASEAN Online Sale Day 2024 from August 8-10.

TikTok has simultaneously implemented activities on its platform to spread the influence of the event to a wide range of businesses in the region.

A promotional video for ASEAN Online Sale Day 2024 attracted 32.9 million views on the platform within 12 hours of being uploaded. Over 100 live stream sessions on TikTok Shop have been tagged with the event's logo. The banners and landing page to provide additional information about the event directly on TikTok Shop have also attracted a lot of user attention.

Additionally, a workshop themed "Finding breakthrough solutions to promote cross-border e-commerce in the ASEAN", organised by TikTok in collaboration with the Vietnam E-commerce and Digital Economy Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, introduced specific plans and initiatives to accompany businesses in optimising operations on TikTok Shop.

The TikTok for Business model will support businesses in maximising the potential of cross-border e-commerce, offering solutions such as cross-border advertising, message advertising, lead gen, and more.

To support ASEAN Online Sale Day 2024, the TikTok for Business - SMB team has announced a special support initiative for businesses, especially small- and medium-sized enterprises.

TikTok will actively promote the advertising of Vietnamese products and brands through a credit support package worth $1 million, and provide one-on-one assistance to businesses operating on the platform.

Nguyen Lam Thanh, a representative of TikTok Vietnam, remarked, “With strengths in platform solutions and a wide user network, TikTok, along with TikTok Shop, will strive to create a dynamic e-commerce ecosystem, helping businesses easily reach customers both regionally and globally.”

According to Nguyen Thi Minh Huyen, deputy director of the Vietnam E-commerce and Digital Economy Agency, ASEAN Online Sale Day 2024 is an opportunity for businesses and consumers in the ASEAN region to access special offers and unique products from the 10 member countries.

“The highlight of this year’s event is the participation of many major e-commerce platforms, and it also marks the first time TikTok has joined. This creates a larger, more diverse space for businesses to connect with consumers across the ASEAN region,” she said.
