This is the first time that a joint programme between a university, a professional association, and an international business is to be established in this sector, providing a practical educational foundation and expanding career opportunities for accounting and finance students.
The cooperation is part of the strategy to promote the construction and development of ACCA’s embedded accounting training programme with international professional qualifications, increase internationalisation, and increase the practicality of current training programmes of UEH.

Su Dinh Thanh, president of UEH said, “Our university strongly supports connecting with international professional associations, as well as global enterprises, to develop training programmes that go hand-in-hand with practice. We highly appreciate the qualifications of ACCA and the reputation of PwC Vietnam."
Thanh believes that the cooperation between UEH, ACCA, and PwC would be one of the development steps to help strengthen social responsibilities in innovative training programmes.
"Thereby, we hope to enhance professional knowledge and skills in Vietnam, effectively contributing to the creation of highly qualified human resources,” Thanh emphasised.
Pulkit Abrol, director of ASEAN ANZ at ACCA highlighted, “The partnership marks an important milestone through the integration of learning resources that provide practical professional development opportunities for accounting and finance students. Besides this, I believe that the cooperation between UEH and ACCA will bring global learning quality and high employability for UEH's students after graduation."

After more than 10 years of cooperation, ACCA has accompanied UEH in intensive courses on accounting and auditing for lecturers of the Faculty of Accountancy as well as many competitions, extracurricular activities, and study promotion scholarships for students.
On the basis of the achieved results and to uplift the cooperation to a closer and more comprehensive level, UEH and ACCA signed an extension of the MoU on further cooperation.
According to the MoU, ACCA will continue to cooperate and support UEH in implementing career-oriented and training programmes, increasing employment opportunities for students while tapping into professional and industry-related networks to achieve these goals.
“We encourage suitable accounting regulations and appropriate research to ensure that the accounting profession continues to have a good reputation and greater impact. And we believe that this strategic cooperation will open even greater opportunities for each party," Abrol shared.
