Japanese dancers from Tokyo-based Nibroll contemporary dance company will perform the “Real Reality” show at the Youth Theatre in Hanoi on January 15.

A Vietnamese dancer will join the group.

Since its formation in 1999, Nibroll has staged many performances inside and outside of Japan, and participated in numerous international festivals. It has received many awards and been widely acclaimed in Japan and other countries for its dynamic productions.

The Mikuni Yanaihara Project, a theatrical project featuring Ms Mikuni Yanaihara, Nibroll’s leader and choreographer, won even higher levels of recognition and note in the theatrical world when it was selected for the prestigious Kunio Kishida Drama Award in 2012.

The project was greatly applauded during Yanaihara’s nationwide tour in summer 2013.

Yanaihara is broadening her energetic activity to the sphere of art, and avidly taking part in exhibitions and projects in Japan and other countries, mainly in Asia.

Tickets for the show are delivered free at the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam at 27 Quang Trung St, Hanoi.
