In recent few days, public concerns have been voiced over Meritorious Artist Chanh Tin may become homeless because of large debts. The once lustrous star, once one of the most prominent actors on the Vietnamese screen, Chanh Tin has recently fallen into a difficult situation, suffering from illness and financial difficulties, incurring debt and possibly becoming homeless.

After a disastrous vegetable growing project in the central highlands province of Lam Dong and the copyright infringement case from his famous film “Dong Mau Anh Hung” or "Heroic Bloodline" in foreign markets, Chanh Tinh was forced to sell his house to pay debts. He was then sued by Phuong Nam Commercial Joint Stock Bank because the house was already put up as collateral at the bank.

Last year many people were shocked to hear that Phuoc Sang Film Studio was on the brink of bankruptcy. For a long time, apart from being a famous actor, Phuoc Sang was also well-known for being a successful talent in management and film production, earning billions of VND in revenues.

However, Phuoc Sang fell into debt due to business difficulties, including real estate ventures. Recently one of his friends made it public that he lived so crippling that it forced him to live like a hermit and quit show business.

In order to make a living and pay the debts incurred by her husband, Kim Thu recently opened up a shop to sell sticky rice in HCM City’s District 1.

Facing difficulties in her business, Siu Black fell into desperate situation and had to use her house as collateral to secure loans. The singer has now left HCM City to return her hometown in Kon Tum with her two children.

Owing in excess of VND4 billion (USD189,349), the singer has had to struggle to earn money by any means he can.

However, the musician suffered from major debts worth millions of USD due to losses from his investment in the aviation industry. He was unable to settle those debts and the case was brought to court.
