Gojek introduced a new user interface and in-app feature upgrades to enhance customer experience and kick-off its biggest voucher campaign to date |
The Gojek app features a new and improved look and feel as well as multiple feature upgrades to enhance customer experience and security.
The move follows GoViet’s recent announcement that it would unite its app and brand under Gojek as part of its long-term strategy to make a lasting positive impact and accelerate innovation for its customers in Vietnam.
The new Gojek app will give consumers in Vietnam access to a well-established ecosystem of the best providers of goods and services in the market, including more than 150,000 drivers and 80,000 food merchants in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Underpinned by a new international technology platform, the Gojek app is designed to reduce life’s daily frictions for users and will enable the company to more efficiently roll out new offerings to adapt and scale to Vietnamese users’ changing needs and priorities.
Gojek co-CEOs Kevin Aluwi and Andre Soelistyo said, “Today marks a significant moment in Gojek’s journey, and in our long-term commitment to Vietnam. We’re grateful to Duc [Phung Tuan Duc, general manager of Gojek Vietnam] and the incredible local team we have in place, and for the many Vietnamese customers, partners, and other valued stakeholders that have supported us along the way. We continue to see immense potential for growth and impact in the country, and we’re proud and excited to introduce the Gojek Super App experience to an existing and new generation of users.”
Phung Tuan Duc, general manager of Gojek Vietnam, said that, “Our customers and driver and merchant partners are at the heart of this exciting next step. More than a rebrand, we’re delivering an all new app built on world-class technology that will allow us to take what we achieved as GoViet to even greater heights. In under two years, we’ve grown exponentially, attracting millions of users and a thriving partner ecosystem. As Gojek, we’ll be able to transform user experience, innovate more quickly, increase income-earning opportunities, and create a lasting positive impact in Vietnam for years to come.”
New features introduced today include "Home 4.0", the latest version of Gojek’s home screen, which features a simpler, more seamless UI; and "Dish likes and favorites" which allows users to like and save their favourite dishes within the GoFood app for future orders.
Additional advanced features include 'Image sharing', which enables customers and drivers to exchange images for better communication of order details – such as exact pickup and dropoff locations and conditions of goods – for greater peace of mind when placing an order; and "Concurrent booking" which enables multiple orders to be placed across all three services at the same time.
Gojek users can now also access the Gojek app in all countries where it operates including Vietnam, Indonesia, and Singapore. The Gojek app will be available in Thailand in the coming weeks.
