The EM-Ventures project has been having a positive impact on several communities in Vietnam since August 2022. Now there is an opportunity to deploy the project more widely throughout the country and offer help to millions of potential Vietnamese businesswomen.
On March 22, the Centre for Women’s Development in Northern Centre (CWDN), the Vietnam Women’s Union, and PDA & Partners Communication Association Company Limited, officially introduced the EM-Ventures community project.
The event involved representatives of governing bodies and departments of the Vietnam Women’s Union, local women’s unions, experts in the field of socioeconomics, personal development consultants, and businesswomen from 13 provinces and cities.
The EM-Ventures initiative aims to support women to actively connect with organisations and brands that will support creative and practical initiatives for women.
The scheme also provides financial support for women to have the opportunity to develop their careers and build a professional working environment for themselves. With support through training courses, reviews, and evaluations, as well as many other activities, EM-Ventures brings new, bold, and different thinking to women who want to build a sustainable livelihood and contribute to building strong values for families and communities
Since its inception, EM-Ventures has implemented many practical activities including EM-Training, EM-Innovation and EM-Brands. EM-Innovation, providing training and investment support for women’s business initiatives, will be expanded to 20 provinces. EM-Brands is an initiative to develop an information network between large, reputable brands to provide modern business solutions and a proactive working environment for women.
The EM-Ventures community project was started by the CWDN and PDA, with the goal of supporting creative business initiatives and ideas by women. The project has inspired, recognised and honoured women who have had success through relentless effort and practical business ideas.
Bui Lan Anh, deputy director of the Centre For Women and Development said, “The women involved in this project are self-reliant, creative and constantly strive for their own happiness. Business models are carefully selected and evaluated to assess the feasibility and prospects of each one. We then give advice and create opportunities for members to implement their ideas."
"We created EM-Ventures to motivate and inspire women to be successful so that they can create a stable life for themselves and their community. The more control you have over your own success, the more chance you have of leading a happy and healthy life," Lan Anh added.
