David Beckham's LA Galaxy will face an Indonesian Premier League selection XI in a friendly game in Jakarta on November 30.
The California club will tour South-East Asia and Australia in late November and early December, with the Jakarta date added to their itinerary.
The arrival of the English national team star is promoted by Mahaka Sports and Brown Management, which the Ambassador of Indonesia to the United States, Dino Patti Djalal, has played a role too.
Beckham is expected to be accompanied by world-class names such as Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane and will face an Indonesian side made up of the top talent from the local league.
Football Association of Indonesia general secretary Tondo Widodo said: "They will be drawn from the best players in the IPL clubs. The matter of whom will be joined in this team will be decided later."
He added: "Indonesia has become part of the map for world football clubs. Their arrival here could also provide entertainment for the community football lovers in Indonesia. "
Mahaka Sports director Hasani Abdulgani said LA Galaxy are not only scheduled to play against IPL team selection, but will also hold several coaching clinics along with meet and greet to a number of schools.
"I hope this agenda can be successful. We will also try to bring the national team of Brazil and Argentina in the next year," he said.
The presence of the LA Galaxy will be recorded as the third visit of a team with a world-class reputation in the past two years, following the tours of AC Milan and the Uruguay national team.
