Coca-Cola Vietnam has become an official partner of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), accompanying and giving support to the national football teams as they conquer new heights, most outstandingly the World Cup Dream in a not so distant future.

The signing ceremony of Coca-Cola – Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Partnership has officially been held with the participation of both sides’ representatives, US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink, Park Hang-seo, head coach of Vietnam national football team and Vietnam national under-23 football team and national football players.

Not merely a sport, and unlike others, football ignites the national pride and helps connect millions of hearts in Vietnam. The thunderous feat at international tournaments is showing signs of a fast-growing football scene, full of inspiration and read to face greater challenges. Fans demonstrate their undying spirit and invested faith in the national teams. In other words, the World Cup dream is rising stronger than ever, in the players’ and fans’ heart alike.

According to the partnership during 2018 – 2019, the company will provide fundings to VFF’s operations to empower the football teams. The strategic agreement also opens up an avenue for mutually beneficial collaboration, with specific strategies, in order to elevate Vietnam’s football into new arenas and challenges.

Daniel Kritenbrink, US Ambassador to Vietnam said: "We want to come over to demonstrate support for a great American company like Coca-Cola who is giving back to Vietnam. This is in some ways one more example of the things done by Coca-Cola, such as generating thousands of jobs in Vietnam, investing in the empowerment of women, cutting down on plastic pollution, promoting clean water, and now by partnering with Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). This demonstrates another thing that brings the United States and Vietnam together: our love for sports. No matter who you are, where you are from, whether you are rich or poor, whenever you get out to the football pitch, everyone keeps going and it is the best thing."

Coca-Cola’s 2018 FIFA World Cup special edition consists of eight beautiful designs typical of world class football teams including Germany, France, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina and Japan. Most specially, only in Vietnam, fans will be offered a unique packaging called Vietnam FIFA World Cup together with the football game’s colorful, appealing giveaways.

In particular, from April 15 to July 13, 2018, for every 300ml Coca-Cola can, customers can participate a contest to win:

  • 1,000,000 Vietnam FIFA World Cup cans;
  • 11 golden FIFA World Cup cans – equalling to seven taels of gold or VND228 million in value;
  • 50,000 Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup ball.

The 11 cans, representing 11 national football players – is a symbolic gift and a Coca-Cola’s congratulation, as well as companion calling to local fans to join hands in supporting the World Cup dream by Vietnam national teams. The results will be known immediately after opening, as they are printed beneath the pull tab.
