Bel Group extends its Small and Micro Entrepreneur Support Programme in Vietnam

Stemming from the fact that there are countless street vendors in Vietnam, but most of them lack training and basic business knowledge, Bel Vietnam Company launched its MSE Support Programme in Ho Chi Minh City in 2012.

The main goal is to help participants in building a more efficient and sustainable business, thereby generating better incomes to support themselves and their families.

Since the beginning of January, Bel has launched many practical activities to support street vendors in Ho Chi Minh City. The group organised a factory tour for them on January 12 and a summary seminar on January 16.

The initiatives featured numerous activities to improve sales expertise and honour individuals with excellent business achievements in 2023. This meaningful series marks the 13th consecutive year that Bel Group has implemented its MSE Support Programme.

Through activities with diverse and useful topics, the MSE Support Programme has achieved many remarkable results. To date, thousands of street vendors from traditional markets have had the opportunity to participate and receive training certificates. Thanks to this highly applicable knowledge, sellers have become better prepared and more proactive in business, thus promoting entrepreneurship.

Survey data reveals that participants' awareness of saving and financial management has increased by up to 40 per cent, and incomes have also improved by half.

A representative of Bel Group said, "Bel will carry out more meaningful and practical activities for street vendors in the future. Our goal is not only to give them the opportunity to strengthen their business skills and incomes, but also to gradually move them closer to our further goal, which is to create a community of professional street vendors in Vietnam."

In 2024, Bel Group will continue to implement a series of initiatives to support sellers through promotions and tech training to gradually increase sales.

Bel Group, known for its Laughing Cow cheese brand, opened a representative office in Vietnam in 2007. The company started domestic production in 2011, and built a factory in Song Than 3 Industrial Park in the southern province of Binh Duong in 2016.
