Amway Vietnam factory receives GMP Certification

Amway Vietnam Company Limited (Amway Vietnam) today announced that the company’s factory at AMATA Industrial Park in southern Dong Nai province has received the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certification from SGS for the manufacturing and distribution of cosmetic and personal care products based on ASEAN Guidelines for Cosmetics GMP.

GMP is the widely acceptable quality system requirement and standard for food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical products and medical devices which directly impact human safety and health. GMP focuses on preventing nonconforming products with systematical approaches and aiming to ensure the product quality and safety.

Through a comprehensive assessment, SGS certified that Amway Vietnam meets the ASEAN Guidelines for Cosmetic GMP in all aspects of manufacturing and distribution of cosmetic and personal care products, covering quality management system, human resources, manufacturing facilities, sanitary and hygienic conditions, warehousing and distribution.

After obtaining the ISO 9001 certification in 2008, the GMP certification further demonstrates Amway’s persistent effort in building sustainable business and providing high-quality products and services in order to become the leading direct selling enterprise in Vietnam.
