The SEA Games and the ASEAN Para Games are the largest sports events held in Southeast Asia that attracts more than 600 million people in the region. Being an official sponsor for these events gives Ajinomoto opportunities to provide various supports through its subsidiaries in the ASEAN region based on a wealth of know-how on nutritional support for athletes that has been accumulated by the company in Japan.
According to the agreement, Ajinomoto will provide products of seasonings, soups and coffee, among others, depending on the cuisine of each country. Moreover, Amino VITAL® – amino acid based products will also be supplied to athletes, which prove efficacy in conditioning during extreme workouts, providing substantial muscle-building properties and helping replenish energy during endurance sports.
Since 2003, Ajinomoto has been working on the Victory Project®, which supports activities including sports nutritional guidance and amino acid conditioning for top-level athletes at international tournaments, to support top level athletes in Japan by providing the Ajinomoto group’s products and by providing nutritional support through Kachimeshi® programme (Kachimeshi means “winning meals” in Japanese) - Ajinomoto's sports nutrition meal programme for building a winning physique.
