Regarding bilateral ties, the two leaders agreed on measures to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership in the new stage.
They agreed to continue fostering the exchange of delegations to create stronger momentum for the development of the bilateral ties.
Regarding economic aspect, the two Presidents agreed the signing of a free trade agreement between Viet Nam and the Eurasian Economic Union by the end of May is expected to help raise the two-trade value to US$10 billion by 2020.
Both sides highly valued the cooperation of the two countries’ oil and gas companies in Viet Nam’s continental shelf and Russia’s territory, affirming their resolve to further facilitate their exploitation and processing projects.
The two sides affirmed to continue comprehensive cooperation in investment, finance-finance, mineral exploitation among others.
They also agreed to deepen defense and security cooperation, including personnel and technical training.
State President Sang took the occasion to thank President V. Putin and Russian authorities for creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live and integrate into the host country.
