All overseas Vietnamese communities worldwide will be able to get connected via a new information portal.

The website www.vietkieu.info was officially debuted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ State Committee for overseas Vietnamese, the Ministry of Information and Communications’ Foreign Information Department and VietnamPlus yesterday.

The website functions as a provider of comprehensive information about Vietnamese government and Party’s policies towards overseas Vietnamese worldwide, and about overseas Vietnamese’ activities towards Vietnam. The website is also a system of detailed data about Vietnamese people in each foreign country.

“The website will help all overseas Vietnamese worldwide and Vietnamese people come closer to one another,” said Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem.

On the website, information about overseas Vietnamese is divided into countries individually, in which news about their daily activities are featured. In the content section of each country, users can also have access to rough introduction about this country and its relations with Vietnam.

To facilitate users to have a quick access, the website comprehensively and systematically posts Vietnam’s policies distributed under sectors such as nationality, immigration, investment-business, residence and repatriation.

Especially, the website also includes an updated listing of Vietnam’s overseas diplomatic bodies, associations and companies, commercial centres or restaurants owned by Vietnamese people, so that overseas Vietnamese people can improve commercial relations.
