Today morning (May 31), Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc, and Ho Chi Minh City Industrial and Export Processing Zones (EPZs) Management Authority inspected the implementation of the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic at three enterprises at Tan Thuan EPZ, including Organ Needle Co., Ltd., Mtex Vietnam Co., Ltd., and Nikkiso Vietnam Co., Ltd.

According to the representative of Mtex Vietnam Co., Ltd., besides implementing the mandatory preventive measures published by the EPZ’s management board, the company also has sanctions for violators.

Specially, employees who do not wear masks will not be allowed to enter the workplace. Repeated violations will result in a disciplinary hearing with a potential penalty of contract termination. Workers concealing their illness by making false declarations will also be dismissed.

In addition, the company has designated an area to be used as a temporary isolation spot for workers showing symptoms of fever, coughing, and breathing difficulties. At the same time, the company strictly handles all cases of non-compliance with pandemic prevention regulations.

Currently, the company's production is gradually recovering and is getting better than at the end of 2020. The company representative said that orders are available for the next three months, however, the company is short on both production capacity and workers to keep up with the schedule. Nevertheless, pandemic preventive measures and control remain a top priority to ensure the safety of workers and maintain production, avoiding production interruption.
