PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards reschedules key dates for sixth Vietnam edition

To ensure the health and safety of all participants, the sixth PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards organiser has been rescheduled

The organisers have made the responsible decision to postpone the sixth PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards’ black-tie gala dinner, previously set for August, to ensure the safety and health of guests, venues, and staff members.

Along with this, the celebration of Vietnam’s outstanding real estate projects and developers (VPA) will be taking place this September in Ho Chi Minh City.

After a period of social distancing under the prime minister's Directive No.16/CT-TTG, Vietnam has basically brought the COVID-19 epidemic under control. The epidemic situation in the world as well as in the country, however, remains complicated and highly contagious. To ensure the health and safety of all participants, VPA's organiser has decided to reschedule key dates of the sixth season.

The rescheduled key dates for PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards will come as follows: Nominations to be closed on June 26, and entries closed on July 3, 2020. Site inspections will be taking place on July 13-31, 2020 and final judging is slated to be held on August 5, 2020.

The Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony is set to take place on September 18, 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City’s InterContinental Saigon instead of GEM Centre while the Grand Final Gala ceremony will land on December 4 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Members of the general public are still encouraged to submit their nominations online until June 26 here.

Existing entries will also be judged as normal based on the established criteria whilst entry submission cut-offs will be extended as necessary for each market. The new gala dates will then subsequently extend the logo rights of the eventual Winners and Highly Commended awardees.

With the priority for ensuring the safety of all participants, VPA has always paid attention to strictly complying with the preventive measures during the awards and especially at the gala dinner. For example, they have provided masks, hand sanitiser and check the body temperature of all guests attending the launching event of this year's awards.

PropertyGuru’s Asia Property Awards, established in 2005, are the region’s most exclusive and prestigious real estate awards programme. The Asia Property Awards are recognised as the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence in the Asian property sector.

In 2020, the Awards is open to 16 property markets around the region. With exclusive gala dinners hosting up to 600 senior industry leaders to recognise excellence within each Asian market, each local awards culminate in the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final, which takes place alongside the PropertyGuru Asia Real Estate Summit in Bangkok in December 2020.
