Vietnam Investment Review cooperated with the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA), KONCA (Korea NFT Content Association), and NBN Korean TV Channel to host the event, which received the active participation and response of nearly 100 attendees, including experts, entrepreneurs, and investors.
The cooperation not only contributes to tightening the strong strategic cooperation relationship towards celebrating 30 years of diplomatic relations with Vietnam and South Korea, but also opens up opportunities for deeper cooperation in the new fields of technology, especially blockchain.
Choi Kang Yong, chairman of NBN News Agency said “Today countries like Vietnam and Korea are transitioning towards digital assets. With the Fourth Industrial Revolution we are facing, blockchain technology is now under a heavy focus and is at the center of business revolution.”
He shared that there is a strong need to rethink today’s capital market and approach the digital asset market with a wider perspective and with an aim to cope with the current global recession, inflation, and increase in interest in the capital market.
“Under this global environment, today’s seminar is not just an economics discussion, but an event promoting and fostering the global partnership between Vietnam and Korea to foster and incubate the digital asset economy and metaverse. We will continue to strengthen our cooperation with Vietnam in order to turn this partnership and coalition into a global leading team in this revolutionary moment we are living in,” he added.

Many attractive topics presented by leading experts from both South Korea and Vietnam at the event included blockchain’s impact on society; the Gateway to a Hyper-Connected Society; the relationship between investment in technology and performance of the South Korean entertainment industry; and assessing risks and opportunities to develop proactive technology solutions.
Le Trong Minh, VIR Editor-in-Chief, said that technology and blockchain in particular are receiving the attention of both media units and investors. VIR has been one of the first press agencies to follow up and implement insightful articles and diverse talk shows with the participation of leading experts to promptly reflect the situation in themarket, legal regulations, and investor appetite.
“As the mouthpiece of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, VIR is ready to stand by businesses and investors to create a healthy and attractive investment environment in Vietnam," said Minh.

Mark Hwang, chairman of KONCA in Vietnam, expressed that Vietnam’s non-fungible token (NFT) market has potential to develop. “The largest aspect is the population. There is a huge number of people aged 20-30 who may be interested and suitable users. And these users can often speak several languages. Therefore, I think that the prospects of Vietnam’s NFT market are strong. There will be a lot of opportunities to come, not only in entertainment but also in other fields.”
Sharing about South Korea’s experiences that Vietnam’s policymakers can learn, Hwang said, “The policies are a difficult issue to discuss because, South Korea does not yet have fixed regulation and the process is still ongoing. I think we have to separate cryptocurrency and NFT.”
The signing ceremony of an MoU between the VBA and KONCA, as well as one between the VBA and NBN Korean TV Channel, took place within the framework of the event.
