Nestlé Vietnam delivering nutrition for heroic efforts

Nestlé is assisting workers and volunteers on the front line

Last week, thanks to the support of the Committee of the Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi and the Vietnam Women’s Union, Nestlé Vietnam offered presents including nutritional food and drinks to doctors, nurses, health staff, police officers, soldiers, and volunteers all working hard in isolation areas across Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Duong, Thanh Hoa, Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Kien Giang, and Bac Lieu. This is one of many activities in the framework of Nestlé Care.

Over the last two months preventing and controlling the health crisis, as well as taking care and treating people impacted by COVID-19, have been highlighted by the group. However, there has been a care and nutrition shortage for the people fighting hardest against the pandemic.

As one of the world’s leading multinational food and drink processing conglomerates, with more than 150 years of experience, Nestlé Vietnam in collaboration with local authorities and organisations delivered the products – including 3,640 cartons of Nestlé Milo, 2,500 cartons of Nestlé milk, 500 cartons of Nestea lemon tea, and 569 cartons of Nescafé, as well as many Maggi seasoning products – to dozens of cities and provinces across the country, contributing to the battle against the novel coronavirus.

Nestlé Vietnam said, “We really appreciate the dedication, responsibility, and great sacrifice of those who are on the front lines against epidemics such as this. Through these practical activities, we would like to share in those difficulties side by side, and support the community. With unwavering determination and responsibility, we are confident of overcoming these challenges together.”

The Nestlé Care initiative includes a series of volunteering activities from staff in order to support communities and save natural resources. Those involved are also set to carry out numerous further social responsibility activities this year and beyond.
