Nam Long Investment Corporation (HOSE: NLG) announced the appointment of Chan Hong Wai (Eric Chan) as the group's new CFO on September 12.

Eric Chan is an outstanding financial leader with a remarkable track record in restructuring, driving growth, and helping businesses adapt to the dynamic financial and banking environment in Asia.

He has made significant impacts in his role as CEO and CFO at SPG Land Real Estate Development, CFO at Novaland Group (2015-2017), and CFO at Masan Group (2010-2015). Throughout his career, he has led key financial operations such as driving Vietnamese corporations’ market capitalisation to billions of dollars, overseeing several major M&A transactions and fundraising.

His participation will play a pivotal role in advancing Nam Long's growth, strengthening financial planning, cash flow management, and the execution of fundraising domestically and internationally, to achieve the group's 2030 vision.

Lucas Loh, CEO of Nam Long Group, reaffirmed the company's strategic direction.

Nam Long Group has consistently strived to maintain and develop high-quality projects to meet the growing market demand. In the first half of this year, Nam Long recorded pre-sales revenue of VND2.68 trillion ($111.5 million) and net revenue of VND457 billion ($19 million).

For the remaining months of the year, in addition to handing over the second phase of the Akari City project and the component projects of Waterpoint on schedule, Nam Long will continue to focus on developing projects and subprojects within integrated townships, including the 26-hectare Mizuki Park (Binh Chanh district), the 165-ha phase 1 of Waterpoint (Ben Luc, Long An province), and the 43-ha Nam Long Central Lake (Can Tho city).

In the forthcoming years, Nam Long will prioritise diversification into new core business segments, including capital investment and management, as well as commercial property development. These initiatives will complement our existing portfolio of integrated townships and residential project developments. This expansion necessitates prudent and adaptable financial planning strategies, encompassing diverse fund-raising mechanisms. I am confident that my colleague, Eric Chan, will excel in executing these responsibilities in his new role.
