The MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach took a giant step closer to opening this past weekend with the successful completion of a customer simulation.

“Vietnam's first integrated resort, the MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach, was honored to welcome 600 friends and family over a three day period to preview its luxury facilities. Our invitees were treated to unparalleled luxury accommodations, dined at our world class signature restaurants, enjoyed hand-crafted specialty cocktails at Churchill’s Cigar Bar and The Gold Standard, had exquisite breakfast samplings at Ginger and relaxed at our outdoor cabanas surrounded by three infinity pools,” said Lloyd Nathan, CEO of Asian Coast Development Limited (ACDL).

“Pending final regulatory approvals for all of the property's offerings, the MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach is ready to open its doors.  We continue to work closely with the government of Vietnam to ensure an expeditious opening”.

“We could not be happier with the success of our simulation weekend," said MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach president and chief operating pfficer John Shigley.  “This was all done as an exercise in the final training of our 2,113-strong MGM team that is energised and excited about our opening.  With over 600 people testing out our service and amenities, we have gathered invaluable feedback, and are exceptionally confident that we are ready-to-go. We are looking forward to welcoming our guests to the property as soon as possible.”

The first phase of the MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach includes 541 five star rooms, gaming facilities, meeting and convention space, nine restaurants, lounges and bars, a spa, teen’s and children’s areas, three swimming pools and luxury retail shops.

ACDL also announced in October 2012 that it had broken ground on the second phase of the MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach, which will include a second tower of 559 rooms and additional leisure facilities. The company’s Greg Norman designed championship golf course is under construction as well and is planned to have three holes open in the coming months, and the full 18 holes in the third quarter of this year.

The Ho Tram Strip is two hours away from Vietnam's largest metropolis, Ho Chi Minh City, and in its entirety includes the MGM Grand, another similar sized integrated resort, three other five star resorts and the Greg Norman designed Championship golf course set on a 2.2 kilometer beach surrounded by protected forest.
