The signing ceremony marked a new development phase for AMPA Education

The partnership aims to promote the development of a social responsibility strategy through integrating international training programmes into curricula for mainstream students and by implementing non-profit music and arts projects to build a sustainable creative education foundation for students nationwide.

Accordingly, the two sides will introduce and promote performing arts workshops and masterclasses for students and the public at home and abroad. They will also collaborate with lecturers and students of both parties for festivals, performing arts events, competitions, music summer camps, and other exchange programmes like a series of community concerts performed by the Saigon Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (SPYO).

In addition, AMPA Education will organise workshops and masterclasses presented by Vietnamese and international experts and offer free admission for teachers and students of the Conservatory. Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and AMPA Education will jointly develop strategic training programmes combining the strengths of both parties to develop a system of training which will grant prestigious certifications to participants.

Speaking about the purpose of this co-operation, Associate Professor, Dr Ta Quang Dong, director of Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, shared, “We are one of the leading conservatories providing music education in Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music always focuses on leveraging and standardising education programmes through combining international curricula with formal music education. By doing this, students and teachers at Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music will have the opportunity to gain access and interact with leading local and international experts.”

“The talent cultivation, training of performance skills, and instilling a global music mindset will bring our young talent the confidence they need for any international artistic environment. Furthermore, arts festivals, competitions, and music summer camps will also be co-organised by Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and AMPA Education for the purpose of enhancing international performance quality in Vietnam. The collaboration between Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and AMPA Education is the foundation for promoting Vietnamese music and arts to the world and is also a pathway to bring the Vietnamese music community to the international creative arts and music scene,” he added.

On the same note, Thanh Bui, founder of AMPA Education, said, “We are in a rapidly developing society. More than ever, AMPA Education believes that creative education and music/arts education play a key role in the holistic development of every student – access to the arts should be a right and not a privilege, which is what we are seeing in many parts of Vietnam today. AMPA Education is pleased to be in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music to amplify this common mission – building up the foundations of music education in Vietnam so that one day, all Vietnamese children will have access to the arts."

“With the purpose of developing an innovative education platform for Vietnamese children, AMPA Education aims to build a sustainable arts community. The ‘Giving back’ culture is beginning to become more prominent in Vietnam where many companies and individuals have built effective and humanistic social strategies to contribute back to their communities. With positive, optimistic signs and a belief in a mutually supportive community, AMPA Education hopes to receive contributions, support, and volunteerism from the community (with experience, time, and financial contributions) to connect, educate, and develop the arts community,” he said.
