Italian-backed life insurer Generali Vietnam has won two awards in the Employee Engagement and HR Technology & Innovation categories of the HR Excellence awards of Vietnam Excellence 2021 Certification Programme.

The prestigious accolades recognise the success of Generali’s people strategy, specifically its employee engagement and workplace improvement in the past year.

Under the “More than just a place to work” people strategy, Generali has been implementing a wide range of human resources (HR) initiatives focusing on the four key areas of “Learn, Grow, Live, Thrive”.

Specifically, during the prolonged lockdown, Generali quickly implemented a series of employee engagement activities with diverse and innovative formats to continuously strengthen collegial bonds and motivate employees.

Most notable among them are the Live Red engagement activity series including Virtual Teambuilding, GenOlympics, Miss GenUniverse, as well as various health and work-life balance workshops, among others.

The prestigious accolades recognise the success of Generali’s people strategy, specifically its employee engagement and workplace improvement in the past year.

In addition, Generali also timely arranged COVID-19 vaccination for its staff and agents, as well as provided financial support for COVID-19 infected staff and agents.

Throughout the year, the company has also implemented a wide range of engagement and wellness activities such as the GenFM radio programme, live chats with the executive management team, and more. Generali staff and agents also get to give back and contribute positively to the community during the pandemic with many practical and meaningful online fundraising and volunteering initiatives.

Leveraging its strength in technology, Generali has successfully digitalised all HR management processes. Of note, Generali has recently implemented an integrated HR system (GenME), a training platform (WeLearn), and an internal rewards and recognition application (GenCoins). Additionally, the company’s advanced technological support and digital applications helped ensure effective and seamless implementation of its smart working strategy.

The results for the awards of the “Vietnam Excellence 2021 Certification Programme” were announced based on three rigorous rounds of selection conducted by Anphabe, the pioneer consulting firm providing Employer Brand and Happy Workforce solutions, from submission appraisal to employee survey, and advisors’ assessment.

In 2020, Generali Vietnam was also listed among “Top 10 Companies with Happy Workforce” based on a survey conducted by Anphabe.
